3 Assam Rifles personnel killed in ambush in Manipur’s Chandel district by People’s Liberation Army of Manipur
Three Assam Rifles jawans were killed and six injured in an ambush in Manipur’s Chandel district near the Indo-Myanmar, top officials confirmed this news report.
The incident occurred at 6.30 pm on Wednesday evening. Security forces suspect the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of Manipur to be involved in the attack.
According to sources, PLA Manipur has carried out an IED Blast and then fiercely fired on the troops. The area where the incident occurred is close to India- Myanmar Border.
As per government record, the separatist movement killed nearly about 750 Assam Rifles personnel and officers.
